In accordance with Clause 9 of the Rules for Carriage of Passengers, Luggage and Cargo Luggage by Public Railway, approved by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated 07/17/2015 No. 609, if citizens are entitled to privileged (free) travel, then they shall submit originals of documents confirming the right to privilege (upon issuance of a travel document (ticket) in a ticket cash desk, travel and control).
The list of categories of citizens who are granted the right to privileged (free) travel is established by the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On State Social Benefits, Rights and Guarantees for Certain Categories of Citizens”.
Categories of citizens of the Republic of Belarus who are granted the right to privileged (free) travel by rail are:
- The Agreement dated 03/12/93 “On mutual recognition of rights to privileged travel for disable persons and participants in the Great Patriotic War, as well as equated persons” (hereinafter referred to as the Agreement dated 03/12/93);

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated 04/29/2011 No. 176 (as amended on 06/07/2020) "On State Support for Pensioners", citizens who have reached the generally established retirement age and to whom a state pension has been assigned, regardless of its type, are entitled to 50 percent discount of the travel cost on public railway on regional economy class trains for the period of seasonal agricultural work annually from May 1 to October 31.
