Issuance of travel documents (tickets) for travel in trains with unnumbered seats

In accordance with Clauses 9, 17, 27, 28 of the Rules for Carriage of Passengers, Luggage and Cargo-Luggage by Public Railway approved by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated 07/17/2015 No. 609:

To travel by train with unnumbered seats, a passenger shall issue a travel document (ticket) for a one-time trip in one direction or in the "round trip" direction, a commutation ticket or a smart card.

Travel documents (tickets) are issued at a ticket office, through a self-service terminal, through information and functional resource on the Internet or in other ways established by the carrier ensuring interaction with a special computer system and allowing payment of the total travel cost. In cases stipulated by the Rules, travel documents (tickets) can be issued on a train.

The issuance of travel documents (tickets) for trains with unnumbered seats starts, as a rule, 10 days before the travel date.

If there is no ticket office or self-service terminal at the station or stopping point, a citizen can board a train with unnumbered seats without a travel document (ticket), having paid for the fare and hand luggage to the authorized person until the next train stop after boarding.

In areas where ticket offices are organized at all stations (stopping points), trains are not accompanied by ticket cashiers.

These areas include:

- areas adjacent to the city of Minsk: Minsk — Borisov, Minsk — Molodechno, Minsk — Osipovichi, Minsk — Negoreloye.

As an additional service, a ticket cashier on a train can issue a travel document (ticket) with a charge for the passenger, who has boarded at the station (stopping point), where the ticket office is organized.
